Summary

The Book of Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a Promise to the reader! Why? What makes this book so special? Revelation is a "lens" that puts the entire Bible into focus. The lens is focused on the person of Jesus Christ, and his destiny is imminent. This is a book of victory: We are overcomers! We are the ultimate winners in the game of life! (I read the ending: we win!) One of the reasons this book strikes us as strange is because of our lack of understanding concerning the Old Testament. The Book of Revelation consists of 404 verses that contain over 800 allusions to the Old Testament. These are detailed, along with Chuck's analysis of the design and structure of this fascinating book. Learn about the past, present and future of the Church and our ultimate destiny. This is an ideal "first study" and foundational for every Christian.

0:47.6	But there is a physical description only one that I know of in the Bible.
0:57.4	It's in the last verse of Zechariah 11, where Zechariah says, woe to the idle shepherd, not idle like lazy, ID-O-L, false worshiping type shepherd, that leaveth the flock, the sword shall be upon his arm and upon his
1:04.4	right eye. His arm shall be cleaned right up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
1:14.1	What does that mean? I have no idea.
1:23.8	But it may explain why when people pledge allegiance to him, they take his mark a number on their hand, right hand, or their forehead.
1:33.5	In other words, apparently, these characters, we suspect, this conjecture, we suspect that these impediments of his eye and his hand are the aftermath of the head wound that we're going to

1:41.1	And in identifying with him, people take on a symbol, symbolic representation of that head wound, of the eye, or that's just conjecture.
1:51.2	You see, it's not, as we'll get, when we get to Revelation 13, we'll deal with this whole business of barcodes and numbers and so forth.

1:59.0	It's not, it's his number that we put on,
2:02.6	not our number. That's the issue. He can enforce that by us having a number that we need for
2:07.9	comers, but the issue isn't using that number. The issue is taking on his number as a Pledge of
2:12.9	Allegiance, which if you do, you forever are banned from salvation. So one thing you can do that
2:21.5	clearly closes the door to salvation. So that's why there's a lot of emphasis in that as we go on.
2:30.0	So the seven seals scroll, we've been through the first one, the white horseman, conquering and to conquer.
