0:44.3	Well, we are in hour 21 of learning the Bible in 24 hours.
0:50.3	And in this particular hour, we've set this hour aside to summarize eschatology.
0:57.0	Eschatology is the study of last things. Now we haven't tried to segment other aspects of the theological side of biblical studies.
1:07.0	However, the field of eschatology deserves some special mention for two reasons.
1:13.6	First of all, the study of eschatology will test your hermeneutics.
1:18.7	Your hermeneutics is your theory of interpretation.
1:20.9	Some people have very strict hermeneutics.
1:23.4	They have a very high view of the scripture.
1:25.6	They take it very literally.
1:29.3	Others take it very softly. They're willing to allegorize and take things a little softer.
1:33.3	Depending on your attitudes about that, that'll determine where you come out on some of these controversial areas.
1:39.3	And the second reason eschatology is so important is not just because it's controversial,
1:43.3	but because there seems to be a widespread belief among many of us that we're being plunged
1:51.8	into a period of time about which the Bible says more and does about any other period of time
