Well, good morning and welcome. Sorry for the late start. We had a family in Ohana that we love

very much that's moving to the mainland that we wanted to pray for and so thank you for your patience.

We have two services on Sunday morning, the first of which is our Bible prophecy update and the

second is the sermon which is a verse by verse teaching where we're currently in the book of Hebrews.

We'll invite those of you online to join us in chapter 11, those of you that are here.

Our texts today will be verses 21 and 22.

And if you're able, I'll ask you to stand. You can follow along as I read.

If not where you're seated is fine. The writer of Hebrews by the Holy Spirit is writing

and says verse 21, by faith Jacob when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons and worshipped as he leaned

on the top of his staff.

By faith, verse 22, Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites

from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

Let's pray if you would please join with me. We'll ask God to bless

the understanding of His word to our hearts. Father in heaven, thank you so much for your

word and for this portion that we have before us today. Lord, we do readily

admit that unless the Holy Spirit gives us eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to receive,

the time that we're going to have together in your word today is going to be a waste of time and none of us want that.

So we want to give you our undivided attention so that we can focus and concentrate and hear as you speak in that still small voice of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, I pray that you'll turn down the volume of the busyness of our lives, all of the voices clamoring for our attention.

All of the stress and the pressures of our lives and our times that we're living in,

these perilous times.

Lord, I just pray that we can put all of that aside as we devote and commit this time to you
