Good morning and on behalf of Pastor J.D. Farag, we welcome you to our live stream service

here at Calvary Chapel, Connoe. And on Sundays we have two services, and this is our second

service. For this teaching, I would have you turn in your Bibles to the book of Luke in

chapter 9. We'll pick up at verse 57 and read to

the end of the chapter. Again the book of Luke chapter 9 beginning at verse 57 and if

you're able to stand I ask that you would for the reading of the scriptures this morning

followed by a word of prayer.

Beginning in verse 57, the Word of God reads, now what happened as they journey on the road

that someone said to him, speaking of Jesus,

Lord, I will follow you wherever you go. And Jesus said to him, foxes have holes and birds

of the air have nests, but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head. Then he said to another, speaking

of Jesus, follow me. But he said, Lord, let me first go and bury my father. Jesus said to him,

verse 60, let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach

the kingdom of God. And another also said, Lord, I will follow you, but let me first go and bid

them farewell who are at my house. But Jesus said to him, no one having put his hand

to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. Why don't we pray for the Lord's

blessing on our teaching this morning. Oh my Lord, I pray that you would just anoint this teaching and that the words that come forth

out of a useless servant would be useful to your people. We desire

to know you more, know your will for us, and to walk in your word. So bless this time that we have together, go before me in the strength

of your might. And may we heed what we hear today in the mighty word of your own word. And in the

mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray amen please be seated
