We're really excited to talk to you about shirt making today.

But to start us off, can you please introduce yourself to our listeners?

I guess the first thing I need to say is that I'm a 70 year old sower and I started sewing only in my 20s.

But since then I was amazed to discover that it was really what my life was going to be about my professional life.

So I've been a Threads editor, an editor at Thread's magazine, and an author of a handful of sewing books.

And it all started with my decision to self-publish a book on shirt making way back in the early 1980s and

although it wasn't really my intention, that kind of has established me as the shirt-making guy.

I was actually once recognized on an airplane by a complete stranger, a man who turned to me and said,

aren't you the shirt-making guy? It was a totally dumb founding experience.
