Daniel, you are the executive director of the European Liberty Forum, an organization

advocating human rights, freedom, democracy,

equality, and respect for the rule of law. Could you tell us in a bit more detail what your

mission is and what role the European Liberty Forum takes in Europe's organized liberal movement.

Very good morning and Matthias, thank you so much for having me on the podcast.

Well, the European Liberal Forum is an interesting being, if you will.

You mentioned what we try to do and we can summarize it a little bit that we try to find liberal answers to European

questions. So our mission is very simple and that makes it also sometimes very hard. We want

to create a liberal future in the United Europe. And we as an organization have three branches,

if you will. We are a network of now

47 member organizations all across Europe, which also includes the UK, Turkey, and the South

Caucasus, the Western Balkans, of course. We are a think tank. That means we try to come up with

policy solutions with books, publication, policy papers,

but also discuss European matters during conferences.
