Well, good morning and welcome to our live stream service here at Calvi Chapel, Canioi. And on Sundays, we have two services. The first services normally dedicated to the prophecy update and the second service dedicated to the sermon. And Lord willing, we'll be back on that model come next week upon Pastor J.D.'s return. So pray that he's rested and ready to get behind the

0:23.0

pulpit. So in his absence, we're going to conduct a two-part teaching this morning at deal

0:29.9

with some prophetic events. It's going to be wrapped up into the topic that we're going to get

0:35.0

into here shortly. But before we do that, let's bow our hearts for a moment of prayer.

0:41.5

Father in heaven, once again, Lord, we come to you. I pray that you would just anoint us and circumcise our hearts afresh so we can receive your

0:59.6

word with gladness. We need to hear your word and we need to hear it clearly. So would you

1:06.8

remove all distractions and emotions so we can get into your word. We ask for your

1:13.5

blessing upon this time. In the mighty name of Yeshua, Jesus, the Christ we pray. Amen.

1:25.2

So today, our teaching is going to be on the topic of biblical resurrections.

1:34.0

And like I said, this is going to be a two-part teaching.

1:39.6

And for our first teaching this morning, what I want to do is define what the resurrection is and how it differs

1:48.6

from only being raised from the dead. Now, that is not to say that being raised from the dead is

1:57.0

some small feat. That's not what I mean. But I do want to make sure that we make a distinction

2:05.0

and be precise as we can with the Word of God regarding these events and accounts of people

2:13.3

being raised from the dead. And what the resurrection, more specifically the first resurrection

2:21.7

means. And what we're going to see prayerfully is how these individuals who were raised

2:28.5

from the dead link to the resurrection to come. And before we get there, let's look at the word resurrection and define it

2:40.3

in its simple terms and then also explain what it means in its divine, divine form. So when we do that,

3:05.0

we can conclude that in its simple form, resurrection means the act of rising from the dead, or to awaken from death.

3:14.7

And this definition is indeed true. That's what it means. But it's not the full meeting regarding the resurrection. And that's what I want to focus on and point out. Because according to the scriptures, when the resurrection occurs, we are not only raised from the dead, but we take on a new spiritual nature as well as a new physical nature.

3:44.8

And that nature is made for eternity.

3:51.8

And as Jesus is, we will be like him and have characteristics of the angels in heaven, according to the scriptures.
