spent his active military career as an ICBM launch control officer with both the Atlas E and Minuteman One weapon systems.

For nearly 40 years, Captain Shinley kept his Air Force mandated secret of the unearthly experience he had, which put ten of his Minuteman missiles out of commission to himself.
