| 1:48.8 | So primarily, from a primal point of view, anger is about safety. |
| 1:56.9 | It's about when we used to be hunters and gatherers wandering the earth, anger was about |
| 2:01.9 | keeping the tribe safe. So it's a limbic response. When I say limbic |
| 2:07.4 | the limbic part of the brain which is the knee jerk part of the brain and the |
| 2:12.1 | reactive animal part of the brain, the reactive animal part of the brain. |
| 2:16.1 | So anger is there quick, let's fight or let's run away quickly and then we can |
| 2:21.8 | regroup and be reasonable later. So the positive of anger |
| 2:25.8 | is that vitalizes you or energizes you into movement, which can be good. The negative of it is it affects or hinders your ability to think clearly most of the time. |
| 2:40.0 | Anger can be motivating and that motivation is good. |
