Well, welcome everyone to this episode of the Bible for Normal People.

Before we get started, I wanted to mention a course that we're going to be offering here in the next few weeks.

And I'm going to be the one facilitating this one.

We've had some others in the past that Pete has led us through.

But we're going to be talking Is the Bible True.

And so we're going to look at passages that have contradictions with other passages in the Bible.

Look at those difficult passages like Jonah and Genesis and ask the question,

is this true?

And in what ways can we talk about the Bible being true and maybe not being true?

And as you know, we're not going to come out with easy answers.

We'll probably end up with more questions than we have answers.

But we're definitely going to dig in to some of those passages and some of those questions

and have hopefully a more rich and full understanding of those two questions we ask in every course

and in every episode, what is the Bible and what do we do with it?
