Hey, everybody, it's me, Kathleen Madigan. Welcome to Madigan's Pubcast. You grab

0:12.9

yourself a drink, pull up a bar stool, let's talk about what's been going on.

0:17.7

Termites! It's episode 80. I had to skip a week. Most of you were very nice.

0:29.9

impatient about it. A couple termites. A little aggressive, a little aggressive,

0:35.3

but the other termites said, be your best self. Come on, two weeks off in 80. I've got

0:42.1

buried. I was so, I had so much fun in St. Louis. Thanks to everybody who came out to the show

0:47.6

and it was 33 hundred tickets and they were all sold out and I'm not saying that to

0:51.5

break. But my sister said, does it ever amaze you? Like, aren't you totally excited? I mean,

0:58.2

I'm excited about the show. I'm excited about the after party, more importantly, with

1:01.9

my cousins and stuff. But what's crazy is when you've done this this long, like when you

1:06.6

first start comedy, you don't, you're not responsible for selling any tickets. You just

1:10.9

show up at a comedy club and you're doozledoom, doozledub, fucky fuck, shmuckishmuck. Nobody cares.

1:17.5

Then when you start headlighting the clubs, though, you're kind of responsible for selling

1:20.6

tickets. And if you're on the right trajectory, that should start anywhere from five to ten

1:26.8

years into your career. And then it's just that's a lifelong thing. All I think about

1:30.7

is I have to sell these tickets or someone is going to yell at me. I'm going to be yelled

1:35.2

at or I'm going to get demoted or so it becomes more of a relief than it's fun when you

1:44.0

finally get to this stage. But it's a lot of work in between and a lot of running around

1:49.4

and all that. But it was so, so, so much fun. Um, I would say I don't even know probably

1:56.8

two 300 relatives there. And then when I talked about the pop, uh, the pub cast, ton of

2:02.7

termites, probably a third knew the pub cast. So that's really awesome. A lot of shirts,

2:10.7

mm-hmm, which speaking of what I put, there's going to be more of the long sleeve ones back
