Hey everyone, this is Nick Jorgensen with Acts 29, and you are listening to You Are Born for

this podcast today. And in this episode, as you can already tell, we're going to do things a little bit

differently. When we came in to record this episode this morning, Father John felt the Lord had

put something on his heart in prayer to share with the faithful. And after some discussion, Mary and I wholeheartedly agree.

So we're going to turn off our mics right now and just let Father John share what we believe

is a word from the Lord for the church right now in these days. Thanks, brother. Thanks, Mary. It's good

to have you guys around the table. We're going to talk a little bit today about what we're entitling, what time is it? But as always, let's pray first, huh? So in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Father, in these days that are so soon after the Feast of Pentecost, we continue to ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit to be poured

out upon each of us, members of the body of Christ, in a new way, a fresh way, and that you would

pour out that same spirit upon our country right now, most especially into the hearts of those who, for whatever reason, are hurting,

are crying, are confused, are anxious, are fearful, or longing to be heard or misunderstood.

Father, we ask that you would do what only you are able to do in these days, namely that

you would change our hearts, give us new hearts, and help the church to be at this time,

wherever we may find ourselves, a sign and an instrument

of unity and of healing. And we ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen. Name of the Father,

Son, Holy Spirit. So, yeah, Nick, Mary, thanks so much for throwing the

mic at me, I guess. So just to contextualize everything, so we're in the middle of a series that we

began just last time on what we call a white paper. Doesn't really matter what that is. It's

simply just a paper that we recently wrote. We've put out on our website entitled Reimagining what a Catholic parish can be, a destination for the 21st century.
