debate last night, so we are going to hear what his plan is moving forward. Then we have my friend

Sarah Elliott, who lives in the UK and is a political commentator and just all around wonderful

friend. And we talk about the wildness of politics. And then we're going to end with my friend

Jason Rantt, who is a Seattle radio host and author of a new book about why the left is

excited for our next guest. Doug Bergam is the current governor of North Dakota and a 24

presidential candidate and the very first presidential candidate I've had on my brand new

podcast. So thank you so much for coming on, sir.

And we are just so happy to have you. Well, honored to be with you, Megan, and honored to be

honored to be the first. I'm so excited. So I just want to start with last night's election results.

We're more disappointing for Republicans than I think I anticipated, especially given President Biden's negative polling numbers that had just

come out from the New York Times poll that showed that he's basically losing in every single swing

state except Wisconsin. Are you disappointed? And what message do you think our listeners can take away

from the results from last night? I think as Republicans, we have to step back and ask ourselves, do we understand the issues

that are really mattering to the voters?

And I think it's one of the reasons why we jumped into this presidential race was because

we, you know, when you looked at the last spring, it was culture war clickbait, was nonstop. And when we announced on June 7th, we said, hey, there's three things that really matter to getting America back on track. And that's the economy. It's energy policy. It's national security. And those things are all completely and totally interrelated. Biden's going 180 degrees in the wrong direction, all three of them. And, of course, now we find ourselves in the fall.
