Summary

In May 2019, police in Sturgis, Michigan received an anonymous call from a man who told them that there was a body in the home of local man Wade Allen. They believed it to be the body of his girlfriend, Kelly Jean Warner, who was affectionately known as KJ.

As the police enter the home, there is no sign of a body or anything hugely suspicious.... but one officers intuition unraveled the case and soon the true horror of what had happened to KJ was revealed.

This is Real.

Intuition. We all have it.

But sometimes it's stronger than at other times. Many investigators I've spoken to over the years have told me that it's one of the most important tools to have when they're investigating a crime. In today's episode, a man almost got away with murder.

But thanks to one officer's intuition, he didn't.

I'm A question's cover in this case. A question to cover in this case, because it's truly one of the most disturbing ones I've come across.

1:35.1

It shows a very dark side of humanity.

But there is one overriding reason that remains my main motivation for covering cases like this.

When I heard about this case, through YouTube videos, TikTok videos and mainstream news articles,

I struggle to find any real information on the victim.

but of the person she was and how she should be remembered. In May 2019, 39-year-old Wade Allen was asleep at his home in Sturgis, Michigan, when he heard a loud knock at the door. The police stood on the other side, waiting for him to answer. He rolled out of bed, got dressed, and he opened the door with bleary eyes.
