That's a serious question this week. I know I say it at the start of every episode. How are you? Hope you're well. Thank you for being here, etc.

But I'm actually sort of serious in this one because... Well, the transfer window opened on Wednesday.

And I've got a Twitter timeline that's been fairly well cultivated to avoid, if that's the right way of putting it,

a lot of the madness that exists on social media because, frankly, who has the time or the energy for all of that?

Nevertheless, some of it seeps into your awareness. And I get the sense that, despite the fact that the transfer window only opened on Wednesday,

people are losing their absolute shit already. There was a lot of reaction when our interest in Chelsea's Cai

Havards became known more widely. There was some reaction to that. And today Thursday there was a story about

Declan Rice. Yes, that guy. And it turns out we've made a bid which West Ham have rejected and lots of people

have come bananas because we didn't just pay what West Ham wanted. We should just give them everything that they want

and one go rather than, I don't know, negotiate a little bit. Apparently now Manchester City are interested, I guess.

By the time I've finished recording this bit of the podcast, Manchester United will be interested.

Chelsea will be interested. Liverpool will be interested. PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, FC,

fucking, fuckhead. No, that is not code name for Tottenham. I just couldn't think of any more football teams.

Does work in that regard though, but it's kind of exhausting. It is kind of exhausting already.

And we've got a full summer of this to go. So when I ask, how are you? I hope you're all right.

And I know many of you out there listening to this will be able to take some distance from the madness

that is the transfer market. Actually, I should say that again, even though the transfer market is mad,

what's matter is the non-stop coverage of the transfer market on TV, radio,

internet, social media, all the rest of it. And I say that as somebody who is part of it, I do get it,

which is why as much as possible, we try and filter the stuff that we bring you on our

blog and our blog news. So we're not dealing with the minutiae of, well, just some shit that some
