We woke this morning to the news that Baltimore congressman Elijah Cummings had passed away at the age of 68. Let's discuss one of his most powerful speeches defending the children being caged at the border.

Finally, I want to refine for you my fundamental position on almost all issues: Human suffering. This is what drives me to oppose the MIC and American imperialism. But, this is what also drives me to support oppressed people across the world no matter where I see them and no matter who is doing the oppressing.
