Hello, everyone, and welcome to episode seven, Craig. Can you believe it? Episode seven of pillows and beer. We're still here as I'm Austin and as always with my best bug Craig.

And we're going to get into some funny things today. One of those things being things that Craig thinks about both things that we all think about actually on airplanes that only happen on airplanes. Right? Yeah. So, so like crying next to strangers is one of those things that happen on airplanes or park benches or anywhere else.

Sure, you're looking really an olive garden. Yeah, I understand. I feel like you're right. Actually, it's funny that you, whatever. I love you to death, but I don't usually think that you're that insightful to me. I'm just kidding. I don't know why I keep saying I'm kidding. I don't know why I said insightful.

What I'm trying to say is that Austin rings a great point into it is that you are vulnerable on an airplane. And whatever happens on the airplane just goes. It just goes. Like you like air kind of like you know drinking it in an airport, right? Like no one questions at 9 a.m. while you're drinking like a double, you know, scotch.

It's a rock. I actually know what I really love and this guy seems and should I love airport bars. We were on the way up here and a table asked Austin if his beer was out or in, you know, Vermont, yeah, or something. No, we were in Charlotte. Yeah, we're in Charlotte. They were from Alabama and Nashville.

And we sat with them. And it was just great. But what's really funny is that I saw this meme, but then it happened to Austin and I on our flight up here. And the meme was saying.

Craig's got a lot of podcasts, which is good. That's healthy. You know, we write down everything now, which is weird. Like we've entered this space. Well, it's not weird. It's good.

I keep saying it's weird. It's just like you say not not in a bad way. And you say to be honest, which I also say here we go. If something's about to happen. Oh, here we go. Where is this shit that I read for Nick? Oh, okay. So I saw this meme on Instagram the other day saying it was addressing the tension that you feel was someone your own age on the plane. And I just laughed. I was like, that's so true.

It's a thousand percent true. It is. And you just there's this weird tension. So we're together now like we're basically that's my plus one on the flight. Like you guys are paired up. If there was a school dance on the flight, that's your date, except you're not talking to them.

You're not sitting with them. It's basically the beginning of a rom com that never gets to the good part.

It's your meet cute, right? But the meet cute never happens because, oh, I'm too shy. And sometimes it would just be weird to talk to someone, but it did happen in me one time. I was in college and I was flying home.

And I used to use my uncle's buddy passes. He's a captain for Delta. And I sat next to a very, very attractive girl that was coming from Chapel Hill.

That is very rare. And she had just if she had just visited her boyfriend or something, but we had a very turbulent flight. It was a very bad flight.

I don't get nervous fine, but she actually this happened. She reached over and grabbed my leg because the flight was that bumpy. I wish she could see my eyes.

And so as a wide as can all be she grabbed. She grabbed my leg. We didn't talk. We weren't talking like like, you know, the top of your knee.

Like I'm going to do it to you like nervous. Like if. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Out of out of nerves. Oh, yeah. I mean the flight was just dropping. It was back. And so she grabs my leg and we don't really talk. You know, we're just there for each other in.

You know, and no, right. Look, you guys are terrified as hell. You have no share. You have no save or what happens on this aircraft. That's why I always laugh. People say, fly safe. You're like, I have no say. But thank you for saying that. Like, what the hell am I going to do about it?

Correct. So we have this this emotional journey together, even though it only lasts in 10 minutes, you're just you're in it with this person. At the end of the day, that's going to be the last person you see if that plane goes down. And all those thoughts are running through our head. And so she's holding my leg. I'm just kind of bracing myself trying to psych myself, you know, out of being freaked out.

And then we make it through the turbulence. And so we start talking more. And you know, the plane lands. And I was like, where are you headed? And she told me, and I could have asked her. Did you know, I know I said it. And she goes, even nika shik is.

Yeah, he was like, it's a layup. We were in a wide open. We were headed the same direction, the same town. I think I was flying into Baltimore and something was going on, even if we weren't headed the right way or the same way, she goes, well, I'm getting a taxi. And all I had to say was, well, do you want to split the taxi?

And I could have made up that I was going to our town. And I did it. And and it's funny. And I just, I think back that was my one time to turn the plane meeting and do. So on our flight, on our flight up here, though, Austin and I are sitting on front. And we're, we're, we're wanted you to know we were sitting up front.

And we don't fly coach. We usually do. When I leave Austin on trips, sometimes he gets stuck back there, but no, so we're sitting. I don't know why I say, but no, that is exactly what happens. So we're sitting and see three and four.
