method, which was key in making decisions that both reduced labor costs and increased

yields by more than 50%. In this podcast, I talk with Dr. Ben Higgins. Ben works with both

Goldleaf Gardens and Kiss Organics and is also a part of our consulting group.

He is the research scientist for Goldleaf, and with KISS Organics, he handles the custom blue mat designs for growers, as well as assisting with our product development and research.

Ben earned his PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz,

where he studied functional ecology, organismal morphometrics, and physiology. He lives in Olympia,

Washington with his wife and two daughters, and loves to explore the natural beauty of the area
