Today's episode of Anime Out of Context discusses a recent tragedy that resulted in the loss of 35 human lives.

Remington, today is going to be a bit of a serious episode.

Because Remington, the anime community, and I would say just the world community as a whole, has suffered a terrible tragedy.

This tragedy I don't know a ton about, but I know the bare basics, and I know enough that it is really messed up.

It is considered the worst mass killing in Japan's history since World War, too. Dang! Which it blows the mind that something like this could even happen,

especially not to a studio like Kyo Annie or Kyoto Animations as its full title is. Remington,

so I felt that it would be a good idea to do an episode on one of my favorite Kyoto anime productions, because though this deep and horrible

tragedy has happened and it pains my heart that this has happened, I wanted to put out an

episode to show that we still love and care for the studio.
