care whilst listening. Grief is one of the worst things we go through as humans. It's almost certain that through our

lives, we will experience it at some point. Losing family, friends, members of our communities.

It's all-encompassing and something that reminds us all, just how precious life really is.

There are different types of grief too, often relating to the way that we've lost our loved ones.

Suicide and murder are often extremely hard to come to terms with.

To try to comprehend the circumstances surrounding someone's death

is often a huge factor in processing our loss.

But what if you were told that actually,

the way you thought you lost someone you loved,

was not actually the case.

What if a suicide turns out to be murder?

I'm going to Unfortunately, I have lost loved ones to both suicide and murder.

The grief felt different with each of them, as enormous as each other, but just in different

ways. Trying to understand the why behind both of these was important to me. Both were very hard to make sense

of. But with my friend's murder, we knew that her death wasn't the end of it. We knew there

would be a trial, press coverage, and reports from safeguarding agencies. we knew it wouldn't be a quick process,

and there was a lot of anger towards the perpetrator and those who failed to act before it was too

late. Suicide is one of the most complex grieving processes, often because we can internalise anger,

have feelings of guilt, and a whole load of emotions we may not usually associate with grief.
