The So it's been a couple of weeks more even on the last episode of the Charles

C. W Cook podcast which was published in the middle of May I told you that I was heading

out to Spokane Washington and Boise Idaho to speak.

And that I did.

What you may not know, however, is what happened next.

Which, long story short, was that American Airlines got me from Boise to Phoenix too late to catch my flight back to Jacksonville

and then American Airlines couldn't promise to get me home for three days after that. At first the situation was fairly simple, albeit

annoying. I'd fly from Phoenix to Dallas and then from Dallas to Jacksonville and I'd get home at 4 a.m.

Seven or eight hours later than I thought.

Lovely.

But then quickly that changed too because a hurricane hit Houston and Dallas became a severe weather area and so the flight that I'd been rebooked on, the first flight to Dallas, got cancelled two.

And from there it was just a comedy of errors. I couldn't

get on to the next flight out of Phoenix which was at 3 p.m. the next day

because it was full. I could fly to Dallas on spec but after that I was told I was on my own.

Probably there'd be a flight to Jacksonville they could put me on, but they're also might not.

And when I thumbed through the re-booking system

on the American Airlines app,

the first Dallas to Jacksonville flight that was listed

was on Sunday. So you know what? I flipped. I don't

mean that I was rude, I wasn't. I mean that something just flipped in me. I had had enough of the airlines. This was the third time in a row that my travel had been hugely interrupted.

And I decided screw it.

I'm not staying in Phoenix for 48 hours.
