My wife is studying to be a doula, which is like a birth assistant and we were talking this morning about

umbilical cords and we've you know we've seen like videos and pictures of

other animals being born and we've never seen

an umbilical cord which I thought was interesting I'm like I think all mammals have

umbilical cords so we you know as most people do we started looking at

you two videos of animals being born

uh... so this morning before church my whole family is gathered around

the the computer the warm glow of the computer screen watching the births of various animals.

We watched a cow being born.

We watched a goat being born, evenrays but by far the most interesting birth in

all of nature that I've ever seen is a giraffe being born have ever seen a giraffe

birth tenor I have not had the pleasure. Holy cow! Let me paint a picture for you.

So the giraffes, you know, these are in zoos usually. So the giraffes are like walking around,

just walking around their cage or whatever and this, you know, their baby is slowly coming out more and more. And really the drama involved is all dependent upon how tall the giraffe is.

But at the end of this whole situation, the baby giraffe

plummets to the earth about six feet and smashes into the ground.
