Summary

It's a bumper show this week as I chat with Tim Stillman about players returning to training, augmented reality and soundtracks for Premier League games, and the lack of ticket refund clarity from the club.

Then I'm joined by Matt Spiro to talk about his new book 'Sacré Bleu Zidane to Mbappé – A football journey' – a look at the ups and downs of France and French football between 1998 and 2018. You can also win a copy of the book in an exclusive competition. You can buy the book from here: https://www.bitebackpublishing.com/books/sacre-bleu

And finally, it's broadcasting legend Pat Sharp who talks about his career in radio, TV, from Top of the Pops to Capital Radio to Fun House and loads more.

Hello and welcome to a brand new oursplog ourscast right here on our

0:59.4

oursplog.com. How are you? Hope you're well. Hope you and yours are all doing fine. It's another

1:05.5

Friday. That means we've got another week under our belts and there were some developments in the

1:10.0

world of football this week. Of course with the training protocols being agreed on Monday and

1:16.2

players returning to training this week Wednesday and Thursday. The arsenal players were in, but of

1:22.6

course it's not training as we know it. They're training in small groups. They have to arrive in

1:27.8

their gear. They're not allowed to have a shower. It's like playing Tuesday night Astro football.

1:33.2

You arrive fully kidded out in your gear and then you get back into your car afterwards and you drive

1:40.0

home and you have a shower there. It's not the way they're used to doing it because obviously the

1:45.0

the training facilities at Arsenal and most Premier League clubs are very nice so you can you know

1:49.4

turn up and you park your car and you wander in the dressing room, the dressing room,

1:53.3

bands and all that kind of crack and the showers and the ice baths and all the rest of it. So it is

1:58.6

unusual. It is going to be strange for them in this initial period, but the Premier League also

2:04.1

carried out testing across the Premier League. 748 tests were carried out. Six were positive. None of

2:13.4

them were at Arsenal, which is a good thing. Danny Sabayol, student interview in Spain. He said

2:19.3

the entire squad had tested negative. So that's good. And I suppose we wait for the next step.
