Hello and welcome to On the Ledge podcast. I'm Jane Perrone and this is the show where we get very, very dirty,

0:25.3

but only in the sense of our hands being covered in compost.

0:33.7

Well, we're back for more from James Wong's flat, his house plant experiments part two, including the legendary nanopond.

0:42.7

Thanks to everyone who tweeted, retweeted, contacted me, said how much they loved last week's episode. It was so much fun, wasn't it?

0:51.3

And the delightful thing is we've got another 25 minutes of chat with James

0:55.5

and Rob to come today. I'm going to split that into two chunks with a little bit in the middle

1:01.4

for a Q&A, so that way we can spread the joy. As I said last week, Rob Stackovitz is the Robb that I

1:08.8

mentioned there. He is a very, very clever man and a horticulturist

1:13.5

based in London. So do look him up. And that's why you should be having a look at the show notes,

1:18.7

because that's where you'll find all the links and information that go with our chat. So if you want to

1:23.9

know how to actually find a biophyter or a pygmy water lily,

1:28.5

then the show notes are the place to go at janeperone.com.

1:32.9

So let's dive back into James Wong's flat

1:36.9

and find out a bit more about some of his other house plant experiments,

1:41.1

including the legendary fruit bowl nanopond. Here we go.

1:48.8

There's more. That's not it. That's not everything.

1:52.5

This is a tank that I bought and then while I was washing it stupidly bashed into the wall

1:58.0

and you can't hold water entirely so i have a little um

2:03.3

created the terrarium out of it so there is a little water feature that has um a pump on at the

2:08.8

back that is keeping that whole wall moist you need to clear out some of the plants so you can actually

2:14.4

see i've just spotted the dinosaur in there. I haven't noticed that.

2:18.8

You've got a raptor going on in there.
