Hey, friends, and welcome to the Jennifer Alwood show. Obviously, I am not Jen. Jen is on sabbatical currently,

which is a much deserved. So today, you're stuck with me. Now, if you're expecting some of Jen's

mindset like awesomeness, you might need to lower your expectations. That's not really my

zone of genius. However, well, I will say this. One time I did an episode on Jen's podcast and someone

commented and said, it felt like a math lesson. And maybe they weren't totally wrong. However,

sometimes I think you need math in your business. So today, even if this episode feels more

like a spreadsheet than it does, Jen's sparkles, my goal is to leave you with something practical and powerful,

especially if you have ever dreamed of taking a business break or a break from your business like

Jen is doing and have your business keep going, have it be automated. So we're going to talk about

five automated systems every business needs to keep things going even if you're not there. If you're on

vacation, if you're sleeping, if you're just running errands, whether it's gone for a few hours or

gone for days and weeks, I want to show you how you can set some things up in your business to

help out. So we're going to give you five systems. You're ready? Here we go. System number one is

automated email list growth. Now, Jen talks about this. This is key to your business. The email list

is the most valuable asset I think you probably have for your business. It should grow while you're

not working. So you need a couple of key things for this. You need a freebie, a leave magnet, an opt-in, whatever you want to, whatever term you want to use, but basically it is giving someone something in exchange for their email address. So you need the actual thing you're going to give them. Usually it's like a PDF or something like that. You need a landing page, a page where people put their name in email, and then you send them that. You need the

email sequence that you follow up with. So I go to someone's landing page, I put my name and email in,
