Once in a while, we have a guest that's kind of famous, and we have, he probably doesn't like to use that term around him, pretty low profile, low key, but high profile and the sense his voice is very well known in the LDS community.

My friend David Butler, welcome to the podcast.

Thank you. Yeah. Let's just scrap that from the record, the famous part.

But I became aware of David a couple years ago when a come follow me, don't miss this podcast came out. And just a

terrific podcast. Many of you may know a lot about it. We will link to it in the show notes or you can

check it out at Don't Miss This Study.com. He co-hosts it with Emily Bell Freeman. Obviously, we're on the

Old Testament. I just listened to his episode on Proverbs and ecclesiastics and got some insights from both of them.

But I asked David to be on the podcast just to give him kind of time to talk to you, our listeners,

on gospel-based principles that will help you with your way forward as a Latter-day Saint. I think David is very gifted

at just addressing complex issues in a faithful way and using gospel principles to help us find a way forward.

And so we haven't spent a lot of time preparing for this. Dave does this all the time,

and so I just felt impressed that I'm in kind of a conversational format. I could turn it over to Dave and

Dave could just spend some time talking to our listeners. Yeah, well, thank you. You know,

podcasts are great, obviously, but it just would, right when you said that, I was like, oh, you know what I wish we had was just a

group of people all together, you know, like to just sit around. That's kind of my, I think that's my

preference, just to sit around and, oh, someone texted me yesterday and said, hey, I want you to come over and let's talk the good stuff.

And, you know, so to sit around and just talk the good stuff, you know,

and just I've just instituted this new, I don't know what you want to call it,

habit, new rhythm, hopefully, new tradition

in our house.

We just got back from a humanitarian trip to Fiji.
