Set the scene for you a little bit here.

It is Thursday, um, mid afternoon, around the time I normally start recording the R-Scast.

And of course I have to make a podcast that is relevant to you, not today, Thursday, but

tomorrow, Friday, which is today, or whenever it is you're listening to this over the weekend.

Normally, this is not a problem because you talk about what's going on in midweek.

You look ahead to what's happening at the weekend.

You know, you can base your discussion around on the pitch matters and off the pitch matters

because there's usually nothing quite so pressing as there is today because we are waiting,

of course, for Mikkel Arterta to be announced officially as the new Arsenal head coach.

As yet, that has not happened.

But we're expecting it to happen.

Maybe later today, maybe tomorrow.

So by the time you listen to this, Arterta should be the new head coach or will very soon

be the new head coach of Arsenal.

So all the discussion and all the chat has to take place based on that assumption.

So that's where we are.
