it was a request to talk about the difference between enabling versus compassion.

So today we are going to break down just that and go into what enabling is, why we enable

and how we can begin to stop enabling.

So today's discussion we're going to really focus on the enabling piece.

Before we get started, just so that we're all on the same page on what compassion is,

compassion is a feeling.

It's a feeling of holding space for someone else's suffering, usually coupled with, it

is I are to help to make them feel better, to solve the issue, to take away the problem.

And I think that's an important part to separate what compassion is as a feeling from what

enabling is, which is an action. And again, I think that can open up the discussion and

really understanding oftentimes those to get connected.

When we feel so badly for someone, it becomes really easy to feel compelled or inspired

or want to action and to take away that pain.
