Now before diving into the podcast, I wanted to fill you in on some changes happening with our company.

Earlier in the year,

we received an anonymous complaint regarding some structures on the property. After meeting with the county regarding these structures, some other zoning issues came to light that require

us to remove a large amount of our storage and covered spaces on the farm. Due to this change,

we are closing down our 7-acre farm as a retail location.

The feed store, edible nursery, U-Pick, and Garden Center are going away and we are

rehoming all of our animals. We will continue to have the outdoor preschool on the property

and KISS Organics will carry on as an online supplier of soil amendments, soil, and supplies.

While it may seem like a setback, I'm excited for the opportunity to refocus the business and have more time to spend on the

podcast, soil science, and working with Kaizen on the consulting side. Maintaining seven acres and having

so many branches to the business is a lot of fun, but it's also stressful and

challenging. With my first child arriving in November, I know I will have my hands full anyway.

Anyway, on to the podcast. This week's podcast is a bit different from my usual podcast. I sat down

with John Z, a dedicated cannabis grower and all-around cannabis enthusiast who interviewed

me on a variety of topics ranging from soil, compost tea, microbes, growing philosophy, and much more.

The goal of this podcast was to answer some listener questions and just offer a different perspective

on some topics we've already covered in past episodes. I met John through our

Patreon hangouts, and it's been a lot of fun hearing about his growing experiences as well through
