Let me start with Brandon and Julia the the Elf on the Shelf, because so like the episode opened with her doing all these farm chores and then bitching and complaining to her dad and then she talked to Brandon about it later, right?

What irritated me about all of this was Brandon being like,

oh, what's the problem with caring for some cute little animals as if she's somehow wrong?

He's like borderline gaslighting her on this.

And the sentiment I saw across social media was generally people were team Julia but there were there's a handful of people who were like well she needs to earn her keep

My thought is earning her keep doesn't necessarily mean dusted on or dawn to dusk.
