This week on One Bad Mother, we belly up to the low bar with other Amy Vossal Madden.

As I have been instructed to say, I think that's the only way we're going to say it,

to talk, escape, and invisible labor. Amy Vossal Madden is the author of five books. Maybe I'm

just going to do a show where I only say people's last names in exciting different ways. Her latest

book is The Means, and it is her first novel. Her four previous books were all non-fiction,

and have been translated into several languages. Her articles and essays have appeared in the

New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and many other places. And she lives in New York

City with her family, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy, Amy. Welcome to the low bar. I'm so happy to be

at the low bar. It's my favorite bar. I'm loving it. Yeah. It's my two. I'm not not even in good pants

today. AKM, jeans, not in those. I'll leave it up as a mystery. Yeah. It's an elastic waist day.

You live in New York with family. Who walls in the family? Who are they? Yeah. Well, you're

catching me at a nice like quiet moment because I'm here. I live with my partner Frank and my

daughter who's a freshman in high school and my two of my, I have two other kids who are returning

from college like any moment at my two, my two older sons. And then the, you know, our nice peaceful

little like three person idol will come to a crashing halt. And I will be scurrying to the corner

trying to get any writing done as usual. Yeah. How long are they going to be home from college?
