Summary

It started with an argument, the kind of argument you might see at any nightclub or bar on any given night. A man tried to get his ex-girlfriend to give him another chance. She told him no. Angry, he made a grab for her. One of the bouncers saw, and the man ended up kicked out on the street. But within a half an hour he'd return -- this time with a gallon jug of gasoline and a pair of matches.

1:22.9	On September 10th of this year, Meredith Lane decided to have some people over her house for a little get-together.
1:29.3	It would just be a few friends coming over to watch football.
1:32.3	First her favorite team, the Atlanta Falcons, then the locals, the Dallas Cowboys.
1:37.3	But at about 8 o'clock that night, local police received a report of 30 to 40 gunshots in the home. They quickly arrived, confronted a gunman, and shot him dead.
1:48.0	Inside the home, they would find eight people dead, including Meredith.
1:53.0	The perpetrator was Meredith's estranged husband.
1:57.0	More than half of abused women murdered by their partner are killed after they attempt to leave the relationship.
