The president's announcement came hours after the Wall Street Journal reported on a 2003 birthday letter sent to Epstein bearing the president's name and a drawing of a naked woman.

President Trump is reportedly furious about the report.

He has denied writing the letter and is threatening to sue the paper.

All of this coming amid growing calls from his members of his own base for more

transparency around the Epstein case.

For than 20 years ago, Donald Trump says it's not true. He says he's suing.

Wall Street Journal stands by the story.

They do. This story had been rumored for a few days. It was echoing throughout the sort of New York and Beltway media sphere that the journal had something and had something big.

And the White House was trying to squash it.

And in fact, as the paper chronicles, there was a phone call Tuesday night with President Trump, which he denied it.

Trump himself posted on social media that he called editors at the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch himself to say, don't run this.

And Trump's accounting, Murdoch said he would try to stop it, but then didn't.

So that's some of the backstory here.

But this is seemingly a big deal.

Okay, Murdoch, here's the way it's going to be, brother.

You've disrespected Donald J. Trump long enough, okay? He goes to East Palestine and gets to

Biden administration. It's a global news event, and you don't cover it live. Is there that

much happening on Fox News at 2 in the afternoon that you can't cover him live?

He hasn't been on Fox News since he announced for presidency.

Let me ask you, any guy that brought peace to the world for four years until a Chinese let off a bioweapon, right?

Wouldn't you think to have respect for the audience, you would have him back up here to talk about the geopolitical?
