West with Andrea Subasati. And this is it. This is our holiday

episode. This is our last episode of 2016 and it is our four-year anniversary. Can you believe it?

Nope. I've come a long way from my living room with a rock band mic. I'll tell you that

especially in the last two years. I think this is how long it really took us to to hit our stride our

numbers are way up we're starting to appear on iTunes higher and higher all the time

and you just got to stick with it and thank you guys for sticking with us.

Yeah, for something that started out as a kind of scheme for me to hang out with Andrea

on a more regular basis, I can only say that some schemes are meant to work.

But without further ado, we have to get into the topic at hand.

And what a topic at hand, we are talking about Joe Dante's Christmas Classic 1984 Gremlins and this is a

film that means so much to so many people because I think if you're a horror kid or for a lot of

horror kids you really grew up with this film but that was not the case for me and

we should get this out of the way right at the front. I was born in

85 I probably saw it late 80s early 90s and it scared the crap out of me I think

for the longest time I didn't even finish it. It just as soon as the

Mogwise turning to actual gremlins, it became way too intense. And especially that scene in the science

class, I was like, fuck no, no, no, no. So it has only kind of entered my repertoire

of holiday films to watch at this time of year

in the last couple years, and I am always shocked by how violent and crazy this movie is.

Yeah, I had kind of the same experience where I saw it as a kid and I enjoyed it.
