0:58.9	And today I'm going to discuss an issue that's been in the news quite a bit.
1:06.4	In fact, the president has come out with a statement on it. He was in China and talked about this particular issue.
1:11.5	And I'm going to take a position on it that I'm going to go somewhere where angels fear to tread.
1:17.8	Now, people that listen to this podcast are probably going to be, most of them, fairly sympathetic to what I'm saying, but maybe not everyone.
1:30.5	And this is not something, what I'm going to say is not designed to be controversial because I think I'm going to try to balance out what I'm saying with what's going on. Okay, so the issue is Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand during the United
1:38.7	States national anthem before football games for the San Francisco 49ers.
1:45.4	And Kaepernick is a quarterback there, and he was quite popular a few years ago when the 49ers
1:50.8	are doing very well, and now he's been relegated to him.
1:53.3	He's been benched.
1:55.2	But he still has quite a bit of popularity, and he's made this statement that he's not
1:59.9	going to stand because of issues of racial injustice and equality. Okay, so first of all, and a lot of people
2:11.9	have been very upset about this, and people are protesting the games and they're going to the police departments
2:20.3	there are not going to there's been discussion about they're not going to protect the stadium
2:25.7	and these type of things I think that that's perfectly fine if one player can protest in that
2:33.7	particular way and people don't like that well then they have the ability to protest in another way.
2:38.6	And people have the ability to exercise their discretion in watching a professional football game or not.
