I'm Annie Jones, owner of the Bookshelf, an independent bookstore in beautiful downtown Thomasville, Georgia. And this week we're bringing back one of our favorite podcast series, Backlist Book Club.

In today's episode Hunter McClendon and I are discussing our final Pulitzer Prize winner of the year, The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

Oh my gosh. I am so excited to talk to you about this. I'm also thrilled we fitted in because we kind of were not sure we were going to do a backless book club this late in the year.

Yeah. And I have so much to share. I can barely wipe this dumb little grin off my face because I'm so happy.

Honestly, I am so so thrilled that you decided to do this because I do not know if I would have had this experience if it had not been in this moment.

Now with you, I'll just felt like the world everything coming together. It felt serendipitous.

So okay, if you are new to backless book club, I do want to put in a plug because sometimes this happens with kids table where people skip the episodes because they think it's about kid lit.
