0:49.7	talked about it on her TikTok and we have shared about it on both of our personal and our podcast,
0:54.6	Instagram accounts. It is an absolutely horrific and devastating case, but I wanted to talk about
1:04.4	it. I wanted to get her name out there in case you are unaware and share some of the
1:10.3	information about what we know so far
1:12.3	because it is ongoing and we don't have a lot of information aside from the absolutely
1:19.7	ghastly details but 14 year old emily pike who was a member of the San Carlos Apache tribe,
1:31.3	tragically went missing on January 27th of 2025 from a group home in Mesa, Arizona.
1:40.4	According to sources, this group home specifically serves young girls aged 7 to 17 years old,
1:48.5	and it accepts referrals from the Arizona Department of Child Safety, as well as referrals from tribal social services.
1:58.2	So this group home is currently undergoing some scrutiny with the Arizona Department
2:05.4	of Child Safety. And they have actually opened up a licensing inquiry to determine if
2:11.8	appropriate steps were taking during the incident of Emily disappearing because unfortunately this was not the first time that she
2:20.0	went missing. So according to, oh, go ahead. And I'm glad that they opened that up. I was at first
2:28.4	I was seeing people saying, you know, there have been 30 missing persons reports for this, you know, one specific group home.
2:36.8	But then when you look into it, like four of them were Emily. And then, you know, people do run away
2:43.8	from group homes. It happens. But clearly something went wrong here. There's a protocol.
2:52.0	Yeah, you have to follow it.
2:53.2	So I'm glad that they did kind of open up that investigation and hopefully things will change.
