Hi Plant friends.

I am so excited to announce that this is going to be the beginning of a new series of episodes that will pop up occasionally on the show.

Very similar to my Plant Side Chats or the Plant Science series with Chris from the sill.

But this one is going to be all about Planty businesses and climbing into the minds of the

founders that create these cool Planty companies that we all know and love and patronize.

So my inspiration for the series comes from the response to

episode 24 of the show How to Start a Plant Shop with Denay from Folia

Collective. Before that episode discussing the business side of plants on this

podcast was something super interesting to me but something I shied away from

because part of me kind of thought I should just like ride the straight and

narrow of just strict plant care episodes for you guys but after that episode

published I was shocked and excited because it ended up being one of the most downloaded

episodes in the entirety of the show. This excited me friends because it's something I

want to learn about too and I think in general whether you have a planty business or

maybe you're aspiring to have a planty business eventually or if you're just a plant

person that likes to buy plants. It's really fun to understand how these

businesses work, peek behind the curtain and kind of see the blood, sweat, and

tears that goes into them and it just helps us kind of value and understand who we're

purchasing from, why we're purchasing and what we're caring for. So from time
