There's evidence that human beings have been brewing beer or beer-like beverages at least for over 11,000 years with indications of barley being used over 5,000 years ago.

I think it's probably safe to say that the delicious

Pilsner, IPA, and oatmeal stout that we're all familiar with today is a far cry from what the

original brewers were making way back when. And there's a good chance that they never really

imagined beer would become what it is today. This is the Brewlosophy podcast. I'm your host,

And this week I'm joined by contributor Steve Thanos

to share our thoughts and opinions

on the direction we think brewing and beer is headed.

It just seems like this is a topic that we'll kind of never go away.

And I'm more than happy to discuss what we have to say about all of us.

Yeah. So typically the topics that we focus on for these bruises episodes are a bit more

concrete in nature, I guess, which makes it easy for us to share our opinions on whatever

it is we're talking about. However, the fact the topic for this episode is sort of

future-based makes it, I don't know, a little bit more amoebic, as it were, while we'll certainly

be sharing opinions on what got us to where we're at now or what we think got us to where we're

at now, the best we can do is presume where we're going to be in the future and those presumptions

will be influenced by the opinions that we hold now. So now, as I point out every time this is a bruise

views episode where we allow ourselves to speak a little bit more candidly than usual,

meaning we might use language that some people don't like or share ideas that you may

disagree with. That's sort of the point of this series. So it's certainly not our

intention to piss anybody off, but rather have an honest, unfiltered conversation about a topic
