So no small talk for you today

I really just want to dive into telling you about this episode that is really near and dear to my heart.

I have been so moved by those of you who have reached out to share with me

how caring for your plants has helped you walk through or live with a variety

of really tough things life has thrown you, whether it's loss of a loved one, postpartum

depression, PTSD, some sort of disability or other issues.

And as someone who has dealt with clinical depression almost my entire life, I just want to say that I'm here with you and

your messages just resonate with me so much and it's brought me to thinking about

the concept and practice of horticultural therapy a lot,

the practice of it, what it actually is, how it's used and the people that use it today.

So I am so thankful to have not one but two wonderful guests today

to help shine a light on horticultural therapy and the practices that help people heal

through plants.
