The Battle of Aletta. It would be fair to say that for the spring and early summer of

1941 Admiral Cunningham gave more than he got. Problem was, each time he gave, he had ships

lost or damaged, thus needing to be at a commission for weeks or maybe months. So by the time

of early summer, the Admiral was most anxious about handling his numerous responsibilities,

much less going on the offensive. True, he had people like Warby who was getting the

job done, as long as no one asked about any details, and the successes of the sub-upholder.
