Hello! Hello! Hello. I wanted to start this week's podcast by just saying that I go a bit

squeaky then. Little bit yeah just just saying thank you to first off people who've listened to us for

years and years so I think the bulk of the podcast listeners are people who were in the habit of listening to the radio show,

then habits can be difficult to kick sometimes.

So then when the podcast came along, they listen listen to that and then they'll drop off over over a period of time until we're just left talking to each other.

That's the way I imagined our listenership to be.

Yeah. So I want to thank those stalwarts. But also every now and again I'll get an email

from somebody who's just discovered it independently who never heard the radio show and I just

wanted to say thank you to you if you're one of those people like

it's baffling to me it's lovely it's really lovely but also a little bit baffling. So I just wanted to start the

podcast by thanking you for listening. I don't want to take you for granted if you're

a long-term listener, but oh my God the thrill of somebody who just discovered it without all those

years of context. I mean it is it so you say the new people like that it's a little

metaphor for what goes on in a lot of marriages isn't it when people have

affairs the heads get turned very easily.

Like what happened to us? We're having little affairs. The thrill of the new. Exactly. So that's that. So it was my birthday since the last podcast.
