There's an old Egyptian satirist whose name I probably can't pronounce who said something

to the effect of, you know, the importance of satirists to remind us that our leaders

are not gods.

You know, it kind of has the effect of kind of taking them down a peg or two and reminding

everyone that, hey, these people are just human, they're prone to corruption and silliness

and mistakes just like anybody else and you shouldn't place too much faith or trust

in them.

If you keep an eye on them, you should be skeptical of the things that they say.
