Summary

In this episode the Leftovers are joined by Tristan Brown and the news was weak and so is this episode. In Good Pop Bad Pop for movies we talk about Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo a documentary where having spent much of his early life in prison, the actor Danny Trejo discusses his career and how he has overcome a life of crime and addiction. Brian talks about 2 horror films: Lake of Death currently on Shudder and Relic. And Brian and Tristan discuss the movie Money Plane as well as the HBO documentary Showbiz Kids directed by Alex Winter. In Television we discuss the new Netflix series Cursed starring Katherine Langford that is a new twist on the Legend of King Arthur. Brian and Tristan talk about the new Starz series P-Valley that follows the lives of strip club dancers working down in the Dirty Delta. And we talk about the new Project Power trailer a movie coming to Netflix August 14th starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt where a pill that gives its users unpredictable superpowers for five minutes hits the streets of New Orleans, a teenage dealer and a local cop must team with an ex-soldier to take down the group responsible for its creation. In News we talk about a new Russo Brothers film coming to Netflix The Gray Man starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. Is Howie Mandel returning to voice Gizmo in the HBO Max animated series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai? In Marvel News we get some vague details on the Loki Disney+ series. And we get some details about the Hawkeye series\ and it looks like Hailee Steinfeld is out as Kate Bishop.
