Summary

Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Grace Price is an 18 year old who has spent the past two years chasing after a cure for cancer. This chase led her ultimately to write, edit, produce, and direct the documentary film, Cancer: A Food-Borne Illness. The film follows Grace across the country as she searches for the lifestyle factors that are putting people at high risk for cancer. It turns out that one of the best ways to prevent cancer is simple: avoid sugar.

In this episode, Brian and Grace talk about how Grace first became interested in nutrition and cancer prevention, how AI can be implemented in educational settings for more efficient learning, the importance of keeping an open mind and staying unbiased in the pursuit of truth, how to effectively promote the message of good nutrition, processed food and mental health issues, Grace’s future plans with regard to cancer-prevention research and filmmaking.

out there and and so let's start let's go all the way back how did you like what made you just get started looking into

1:09.4

Nutrition health you know I know your grandfather passed away of cancer, right?

1:13.0

Yeah, no, I mean, if I really go super far back, it all started with me just having a ton of questions about the way that chronic diseases are treated in our current standard medicine system of today.

1:30.0

And so I think I just, I guess I'm, I mean my dad would probably say I'm not the type of person who just accepts no as an answer and so when I was asking these questions like so could I possibly prevent cancer through anything in my lifestyle all these kinds of things people just kept saying to me like no it's a genetic disease it's out of control all these things and I was like okay well that doesn't help me at all and I just if I'm being quite

1:56.8

honest I didn't really believe that I was like there must be more to this and I kind of had that suspicion for a lot of chronic diseases as well, not just

2:06.0

cancer. It felt as though that was kind of the main answer everyone was giving me that was

2:11.2

hiding kind of a deeper root cause issue because these

2:15.8

I had seen amongst my friends amongst my parents and

2:25.0

declining help is something we're all struggling with and it's bad now like worse than it's arguably ever been

specifically with these chronic diseases.

So I really, really felt very passionate

about just looking into this.
