Joined by Allison Alitha. What's going on, Al? How are you? How's your week?

I'm doing pretty good. As I was saying before the start of the show, my brother and I, my brother Andy, different Andy, and I are watching the Lord of the Rings all in three days in a row in theaters. So I just did that yesterday. And like after this, I'm going to go have lunch with the family and then go watch two towers for the four hours this evening. And, yeah, I'm, like, in a good mood because of it. Like, I love those movies. So it's a fun experience. The greatest movies ever made. The three greatest movies. The greatest trilogy ever made, and it's not even close.

It's like 20 plus years later, and they hold up so well.

Oh, my God. They look so awesome. You know what? So, uh, so Sam and I rewatched the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

We, we, we rewatch it like often enough, like yeah, at least once a year. Who does it? Exactly. And so I was like, you know, I'm going to watch the Hobbit. I'm going to watch the Hobbit trilogy because I haven't, I saw the first Hobbit and I was like, okay, I saw the second one and I wasn't thrilled with it. And then I never got around to seeing the third one. And was like I'm gonna watch these movies and I have to say like obviously obviously they're not as good as

Lord of the Rings but like what is as far as a trilogy goes it's not too bad it's really not too bad

I was really worried where you're going with that because I personally I love the Hobbit movies

like obviously they're not as great as the of the Rings and nothing ever will be.

But, like, I think they're great.

I think they have a certain charm to them, and I actually really enjoy them.

I think if you weren't directly comparing them to Lord of the Rings, they'd have a lot more love.

Like, for example, did you ever watch The Chronicles of Narnia? Yes. That was a great fantasy movie. Like, again, not on Lord of the Rings level, but like, it was just, it was a fun fantasy movie. And I feel like the Hobbit is like very much in that same kind of echelon as Chronicles of Narnia, you know? Okay. Yeah, I think that's fair. I just, it always makes me sad when I see people like, oh, these are garbage movies. And I'm like, I don't think that at all. I think there are parts that I'm like not a fan of, but. And like maybe they went on a little too long, but I still like, Bilbo's one of my favorite characters, the friendship between him and Thorin as it grows and ebbs and flows throughout the whole, like, you know, trilogy is fantastic and I get all the emotions and these characters are great. I love those movies. You know, we were talking a couple weeks ago, and, uh, in the, not you and I, we were talking in Discord. I think I was talking to Sean. and it's like, I don't know how much it's going to cost to you, but however much it costs, you got to, you have to buy the rights to the Silmarillion because we need, man, we need more goth on the big screen. We need like the two trees on the big screen. Like we need the, I forget what the big spider's name is, but like we need that story on the big screen like we need uh i forget what the big spider's name is

whatever uh whatever it was called i don't know if it's a matter of cost i just think it's a matter
