And away we go, episode 313 of the Algoldi podcast, it is Thursday, May 12, 2022, and sadly

it is not a victory Thursday for our capitals. This is not the victory Thursday that we

were hoping for. The capitals on Wednesday night blew it. They choked. They gacked. Let's

just call it like it was a killer of the loss for the caps. Game 5 in the first round

of the Stanley Cup playoffs series tied at two. The caps were up. They were leading at

the Florida Panthers 3-0 in the second period. The caps then allowed the Panthers to win

the rest of the game 5-0. A 5-3 loss to go down in the series 3 games to 2. I wish that

we had better caps news to get into on the show. Sadly we do not. The caps in their 3-2

overtime lost to the Panthers. The capitals won Arena on Monday night. Blue A late third

period to one lead. The caps on Wednesday night blew a 3-0 second period lead. Not good.

My thoughts on the game and on the state of the series are coming up in a bit. But hello
