All right. Hello and welcome to episode four of Colonial Outcast. My name is Greg Stoker, and I'm joined by co-host Mark Wayne. And we are joined today also by guest, Sabika, Muslim poet, organizer, and activist. We did a live on Instagram yesterday, and we really wanted to expand on this subject. So thanks for joining us today. Is there anything

0:22.3

else you'd like to add about yourself before we dive straight in? No. No, nothing at all.

So today we're going to be discussing anti-Muslim sentiment and a longstanding history of violence

0:33.7

in India, which we imagine has been inflamed significantly by the outbreak of hostilities in

1:35.0

a colonial project like India. So you're from India. I lived in India for a time. So I understand

1:40.9

these things somewhat, but today Mark over here is going to interject with

1:45.7

clarifying questions as we proceed in order to try and make this more intelligible for people

1:50.3

who have never been exposed to the history, culture, and politics of India, you know, before,

1:55.0

before now. So there's a question, Mark, how long have you been delving into Indian history and politics?
