Now the caps did lose at the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3, but the 4-3 final was in overtime.

So the caps picked up a point, but Ovi, the great eight, the greatest player in cap history, maybe the greatest athlete in Washington DC sports history, maybe the greatest goal score in NHL history scored two goals.

Goal number one was his 49th goal of the season, moving him past Timo Salani in the 2006-2007 NHL regular season for the most goals by a player age.

36 are older in a regular season in NHL history and goal number two gave Ovetskin an NHL record tying ninth, 50 goal, regular season.

There is a lot going on in sports these days. We have yet another star receiver in the NFL, one thing to be traded in the San Francisco 49ers, Timo Samuel.

We have one of the great coaches in certainly recent college basketball history, if not college basketball history, period Villanova had coach J. Wright retiring, that came out of nowhere.
