Sure, so I have a case that's about eight years old, presented at one of the morning reports.

So we have a 44-year-old, right-handed female, and about six days ago she began to have right arm weakness

also weakness of a grip on the right hand and I'll stop there okay fantastic yesmeen what's

coming to mind here for me first I will think something vascular. It could be a stroke. I would

definitely ask for next thing. I will ask for past medical history if there is any quagulopathy

or anything that she, it's a female, right? I would definitely ask her if she's on any procoagulant medications such as OCPs,

because the first thing I will think if it's isolated weakness, I would like to know if she has

a schemic event, a vascular event.

Yeah, so when I approach a case like this, there's always two things I think about. There is think fast and think slow.

Think fast is the first diagnosis that comes to mind. Like you mentioned vascular etiology,

like an acute stroke or something intracranial. Then you slow down and say, okay, what else could it be?

You want to think about intracranial etiologies other than vascular be you want to think about intracurricular

you want to think about demilinating uh you want to also say could this be outside of the brain

could this be in the spine like in the c spine and uh also you want to think about could this be in the brachial plexus or could this be in the muscles?
